What veneers are, and who they’re for
A veneer is a thin shell of porcelain bonded to the front of a tooth to change its color, shape, length, or alignment. They’re a popular choice for people bothered by chips, wear, staining that hasn’t responded to whitening, small gaps, or teeth that look slightly uneven — the kind of changes that are hard to make with whitening or bonding alone. Veneers aren’t the right fit for every situation; active decay or gum disease needs to be treated first, which is one reason we start with an exam rather than jumping straight into a design.

We start with a conversation about what you want to change, then study your smile, bite, and facial proportions before any porcelain is designed. Once we agree on a plan, we take a digital scan — no impression putty — design the veneers on screen together, and mill them from e.max porcelain right here in our Thousand Oaks office while you wait. You leave with your new smile the same day, not a set of temporaries and a follow-up appointment weeks out.
Comfort and technology
Because the whole process runs off a digital scan, there’s less time in the chair and fewer visits overall. If any numbing is needed for preparation, we use our computer-controlled Wand system, which delivers anesthetic more gradually and comfortably than a traditional syringe.
